They Are Blatant

Daniel 7:25, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

What is Daniel telling us? He is, of course speaking about the Whore of Babylon mentioned in Revelation 17 & 18. What words has the RCC spoken against the most High? The Popes claim to be the “vicar” of Christ. A “vicar” is a “stand in” or a “replacement”. Some have even claim themselves, or have been claimed by the “church”, to be “God under the veil of flesh”.  Pope John Paul 2 even had the audacity to tell the people of the world “don’t go to God for forgiveness of sins, come to me”. These are just a few of the blasphemies that the Popes and the Roman Catholic  “church” have spoken against the most High.

“They will wear out the saints”. What does this mean? We must put this together with the end of Daniel’s sentence. “Until a time and times and the dividing of a time”. This is obviously a period of time, but how do we calculate this period of time? For this we must follow a basic rule for prophesy. 1 day equals 1 year, a time equals a year. So a time and a times would be 3 years, plus a diving of a time, 180 days, for a total of 1260. Now apply the rule that a day is a year and you get 1260 years. So, what does 1260 years have to do with the saints? Everything. The Roman Empire, under Constantine, accepted a psuedo-christian religion. It was soon after this that the Catholic church started to persecute true Christians. It wasn’t until the protestant reformation that the Roman Catholic church lost it’s power and stopped persecuting Christians. This falls well within the range of 1260 years that Daniel foretold. So what about the saints? Good question. Saints, according to scripture, are living Christians. Not dead people. The Roman Catholic church has changed the meaning of the word.

Daniel also gave us another clue as to how we can identify the Whore of Babylon. “They will think to change times and abrogate laws”. It was Pope Gregory 13 that changed the calendar  from the Julian calendar. A side note, Gregory 13 is represented by a dragon. It was at that time that the holidays of Christmas and Easter were introduced. Both are pagan holy days. If you are a Christian and you love Jesus, you wont celebrate them. The Roman Catholic church also claims the authority to change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Sunday is not the Sabbath. No one can change God’s laws. Here is what the Roman Catholic church says about changing times and laws:

“The Pope has the power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ.” “The Pope has the authority and often exercised it, to dispense with the command of Christ.” -Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop. Cap. (The Pope can modify divine law.) Ferraris’ Ecclesiastical Dictionary.

I guess the Pope things he has the Power of changing the Word of God. Does that not go against God’s word? Furthermore does that in turn make him (the Pope and the RCC) null & void their idea of being granted the power to change the law itself?

  2. TrueChristianWarrior says:

That is exactly right. The Pope does believe that he has the power to change God’s laws. What rampant pride must the RCC have that it would even think such a thing. The scary thing is that the “church” teaches that the Pope has such authority by divine right. As ridiculous as it sounds, billions of people believe it. The Roman Catholic “church” is, without a doubt, the Whore of Babylon.
